BCR Update 21/06/2021 – New Referrals
We have come to the decision that we need to temporarily close our books to new referrals. We have been incredibly fortunate to have had a waiting list for new patients for some time and are so grateful to the vets and clients that have chosen us to provide rehab services for their dogs.
The disruptions of Covid have left us with a backlog of new patients waiting for therapy appointments and we feel that we need to work through this before adding to the list further. This includes taking on any new emergency referrals.
We do not take this decision lightly and do so only to try to maintain the highest standards of care for our current clients and those that have been waiting to start a rehab programme with us.
All canine patients that are currently having rehab with us will continue as normal. Those clients that are already on our waiting list will be offered appointments at our earliest opportunity.
We will provide updates on our ability to start taking on new referrals again in the future.
All the best,
Nikki and Katie
Covid Update from 19/07/2021
With the latest easing of restrictions including masks no longer being a legal requirement, we have reviewed our Covid Safety Policy and have the following update for our clients:
- We would ask clients to continue to adhere to social distancing guidelines of >1m where at all possible. There are markers on the floor of the clinic to assist with this.
- We will continue to wear masks when clients attend appointments. We would request (due to the sometimes close-quarters nature of the work we do and also the vulnerable status of some of our team) that clients continue to wear masks to attend appointments unless exempt.
- Many dogs have been attending sessions with the therapist only. Those clients may wish to recommence attending sessions with their dogs. Please speak to your therapist about this as some dogs have benefitted from being more focussed and settled by attending solo.
We continue to request:
- If you or anyone in your household experiences Covid symptoms, or if you are contacted by Track and Trace and required to self-isolate please call us to cancel your appointment at the earliest opportunity and follow government advice.
Huge thanks to our wonderful clients for the ongoing support and adherence to our policies to help keep everyone safe.
